A nice quiet place to stay with very welcoming owners. Property is clean and tidy with a reasonable size pool, and pool bar. Limited snacks though! The only issue with staying here, is that it is a bit of a treacherous walk to the town and back, particularly at night when there is very little lighting and lunatic drivers taking the bends on the wrong side of the road. It is also quite a steep hill which would cause problems for those with walking difficulties. There are short cuts but these are also quite steep and would not be recommended at night due to poor lighting. On the plus side, getting a cab back isn’t very expensive and only takes five minutes. We tended to walk down and get a cab back. The town itself is quite pleasant and great for a quiet week away. Plenty of restaurants and the usual great greek laid back way of life. From Samos Town you can get a ferry to Kusadasi, Turkey, and from there take a tour to Ephesus. This is a fantastic historical site and well worth a visit.…

Stayed here last August, very clean basic studios, like you would expect in Greece, owners live on premises are very friendly, it is like a small garden centre with small water fountains outside a few ground floor studios, which I think the ground floor is best as you have more privacy. Pool is a good size very clean, also have a small bar, The only problem is where it is positioned, no shops to pop to have to go in to town , via a very steep hill which is a main road taking about half an hour walk, not suitable for any one who has walking difficuties, unless you want to get a Taxi every day , the nearest beach is also via a steep hill, and is only small, the other beach would take about 40 min walk via the steep hill towards town, Samos is lovely its my favourite Island but…

Basic apartments, but very clean with a nice pool area. We had a really good fortnight and will be returning, highly recommended. Only downside was the lack of choice of food / snacks on site as the owners wife who does the cooking had suffered a stroke. Not really a big deal and certainly not enough to prevent us from choosing the Electra again. Oh and as someone who has been to most of the Greek islands, if you have booked to go to Samos you won’t be disappointed….it’s absolutely beautiful. Big thumbs up!

very nice apartments hotel with very clean and big comfortably rooms, the owner’s hospitality makes you feel like to be in your home! very closed to the beach (glikorissa) and perfect view to the sea!

I found this place early one morning when i was forced to leave from an expensive yet unacceptable lodging which deprived me from my sleep and i was very happily surprised. It is a basic accommodation but yet with everything that you need and where they would go over and above the extra mile to assist you. Kostantinos was available at any time day or night to help with any questions, even when i called him when i got lost in the middle of nowhere at night to ask for directions! Very clean, beds are as soft as needed, a/c and wifi working great, shutters for the mediterranean sun (a must!) kitchen with everything that you need and parking on the premises. For anything else you need, Kostantinos will make sure to provide it. Basic hotel with four star service! Well done!

From the moment we arrived Konstantinos made us feel so very welcome. True Greek hospitality in a perfect Mediterranean setting. The apartment was spacious for 2 people, spotlessly clean and fresh. The gardens immaculately kept and the pool was always sparklingly clean and refreshing. Being a little bit out of town means there is a very calm quiet and relaxing atmosphere. For those who find the walk into town a little too far, there is a kiklos car hire right next door with cars for next to nothing. On a value for money basis Electra is off the top of the scale

The Electra will not let you down. It is what Greece is all about. My boyfriend and I stayed for a week and I cried when I had to go. George the owner is one of the most kindest gentleman you will ever meet and the Electra is a home from home. The people that stay there are down to earth, friendly and fun……thats what the Electra does to people! The pool and rooms are spotless and everything is so laid back. The location is away from the town but so what ….a walk builds up an appetite for the lovely meals you will find in Pythigoria. Thank you Thomsons for picking a fab place !!!!!

My family of 4 adults and 2 children went there for 2 weeks had a wonderful time and the owners could not do enough for you very clean pool and clean apartments did not want to come home

We have stayed 3 times at the Electra – it’s out of town but if you have a car it’s about 5 minutes away- if you have trouble walking just remember it’s situated on a hill which is quite steep. Accommodation is basic but fine – owners are nice and friendly and pool is lovely. Would definitely go here again.

It is an excellent hotel, with very hospital ownwers, the surroundings were always very clean and the rooms too, the pool was clean and crystal.

Since Thomson stopped dealing with Electra the reviews have stopped. After we were offered alterantive accommodation we deceided we still wanted to go to the Electra so we booked direct with them and booked a Thompson flight only. A good move as the views were outstanding. The accommodation was typical Greek basic but adeqate. But Constantino could not do enough for us. Most days we had the pool to ourselves as other guests opted for “walking trips”. The heat (31-39) most days mad the pool a better option. There were no supermarkets nearby so you would need to buy in the town of Pythorgorio nad get a taxi back (5 euros). Again the restaurants were in the harbour town though we walked down (15-20 mins) and got a taxi back. You can walk to the harbour via the Marina and the views…

The owner and his family were the best. Excellent Hospitality. The men were gentlemen. They carried my heavy luggage. The room was excellent and clean. It had Air conditioning and a shower with a shower curtain. The surroundings were beautiful with an excellent view from the pool. And there was a pool and pool bar to hang out around. But here were a few negatives if your transportation was on foot or taxi. There was only one restaurant to choose from in the evening. And their menu is limited. The walk into Pythagorion can be done. However I tripped and fell. We never walked back because then it would have been dangerous. So every morning if we wanted to see sites it was a walk into Pythagorion and a taxi back. If you have a car this is a non issue. If you do not…

My husband and I stayed at the Electra studios for one week in the beginning of July. The grounds are beautiful, with fruit trees, plants, a pond and a lovely swimming pool. Georgios was the best host ever and a lovely person to know and Yolanda, the bar girl, also very kind and lovely. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen unit has basic utensils, bedding and towels are provided, you only need to bring the rest: tea, coffee, washing up liquid, sponges etc. It has great views of the Island being on a hill which is a 30min from Pythagorio, we used to take the marina road instead of the main one. Next door you have a rental place if you would like a car, also very friendly and helpful. We rented some bikes for the day and half way our route the chain broke…
